Democrata volta ao Campeonato Brasileiro após mais de três décadas
Finalmente, após mais de três décadas, o Democrata de Sete Lagoas está de volta ao cenário do Campeonato Brasileiro. A Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF) detalhou a primeira fase do Campeonato Brasileiro Série D, que terá início neste final de semana, nos dias 27 e 28 de abril. O estado de Minas Gerais terá quatro representantes na competição em busca do acesso: Democrata de Sete Lagoas, Pouso Alegre, Patrocinense e Ipatinga. Os times de Minas estão distribuídos nos grupos A6 (Democrata e Ipatinga) e A7 (Pouso Alegre e Patrocinense).
O Democrata estreará na Série D contra o Nova Iguaçu-RJ, vice-campeão carioca, em um confronto que promete muita emoção. Desde a década de 1990, a equipe de Sete Lagoas não disputava uma competição nacional, tornando este retorno ainda mais significativo para o clube e sua torcida. A partida foi antecipada pela CBF, atendendo ao pedido do Jacaré, e será realizada no sábado, dia 29 de abril, às 16 horas, na Arena do Jacaré, em Sete Lagoas.
Além disso, o Democrata já tem definidos seus próximos adversários na fase classificatória da Série D:
– 2ª rodada: Audax-RJ x Democrata
– 3ª rodada: Democrata-SL x Ipatinga
– 4ª rodada: Serra x Democrata
– 5ª rodada: Democrata x Real Noroeste
– 6ª rodada: Portuguesa-RJ x Democrata
– 7ª rodada: Democrata x Itabuna-BA
O retorno do Democrata ao cenário nacional do futebol é um marco histórico para o clube e para a cidade de Sete Lagoas, proporcionando aos torcedores locais a oportunidade de vivenciar novamente a emoção de acompanhar seu time em uma competição de alcance nacional.
